Senior Management Changes

Congratulations to our Chief Executive Faical Lahmamsi who will be moving to a new role within the Colas Group as Director of Colas in the Middle East and South-East Africa (MESEA).

After six successful years in the United Kingdom, where he has been CEO since 2022, Faical, who has over thirty years’ experience in the transport and infrastructure sector, of which more than two decades has been with Colas in Morocco and the United Kingdom, will focus on the future development of the MESEA region. We thank him for all his contributions over the last six years and wish him every success in his new role.

Thierry Madelon will take up the new position of Managing Director of Colas UK & Ireland, Thierry has over thirty-five years of international experience in the transport and construction materials industry, including a long-standing career within the Colas Group.

He held various positions across the Indian Ocean and the West Indies before moving to Asia, where Thierry played a key role in launching Colas operations in India and Vietnam. He spent over a decade in North America, holding senior leadership roles before moving to Africa to lead activities, serving as Managing Director in Cape Town and later in Johannesburg, overseeing complex infrastructure projects and the development of local management talent. In 2018, Thierry was appointed CEO of Colas Australia Group, driving strategic growth and operational excellence across the country.
